Throughout our time on this Earth, we change, we grow, and we learn. This is the way of life. We are all constantly going through transitions, and like it has been said over and over, change is the only thing in this world that you can count on. Change is always guaranteed.
There will always be ups and downs. But without these lessons bringing sadness or even anger, how could we ever expect to learn and enjoy the good when it does arrive? These moments are put into place to show us what is no longer working, whether that is within ourselves or in our environment. When we can learn to take a step back, and look at what is truly going on, we can change direction.
But only through realizing what does not feel good, or “right”,
can we understand what does.
When these uncertain times come up, as they undoubtedly will, practice pausing. Place your trust in the unknown, ask where the lesson lies, and believe wholeheartedly that all will come together in time.
In order to be happy in the midst of chaos we must learn to become centered. We must not allow our minds to get in the way, but simply soften and let go. It does not matter what is happening around you, it only matters what is going on inside of you – inside of your thoughts. Relax into the situation as much as possible. Take pauses. Take breaths. And then continue on.
If all else fails, and you cannot find calm –
it may be time to find your chaos.
Scream in your car, hit something, cry until your face hurts. Let. It. Out. All while knowing, eventually, this too will end. And when it does, you will have learned something, and grown, even just a little.
We are all beings a in a human body having a human experience. All is coming in time and will continue to come as long as we are open and receptive to change. Without change – the ups and downs of life – nothing more can come into our space.
We will not be able to accept and allow all that is coming to us
if we are only looking for one state of being.
Ups and downs are normal, and to be expected. Without one, how would we know the other?
