This beautiful family and I had lots of fun exploring Mission Trails during golden hour. It was a little bit cold so we made sure to have blankets and jackets on hand. Thankfully we did, because we definitely needed them!
Mission Trails has become one of my favorite locations to shoot during Golden Hour. It’s also been one of my all-time favorite places to hike in San Diego since my son was born so I’ll take any excuse to go back. The open field and mountainous area give the absolute perfect glow for photography and the easy trails are great for small children.
We even hiked Mission Trails Regional Park when I was pregnant! Mike planned it all out to find out the sex of our baby. The whole thing turned into a disaster, though, because my son dropped his cupcake that was filled with pink frosting! Eek. I’ll share more on that adventure soon, but for now let’s all oodle over this adorable little family.
With all of our memories climbing trees, listening to the river, running past the tiny spot of poison ivy, and jumping off rocks, this spot will always hold a special place in my heart. I’ll truly miss it when we move in just a couple of months! However, I know we’ll be back eventually.
