Surprise Sunset Cliffs Engagement Photography
This was such an exciting day for me. I had the opportunity to play a top secret agent! My goal was to capture a SURPRISE engagement photography session at Sunset Cliffs, San Diego without the bride-to-be noticing me. To say I was nervous was an understatement. I was terrified I’d miss the moment while trying to be in stealth mode!
We decided to bring my husband and son along. That way, I could pretend to be capturing images of them playing on the cliffs. Meanwhile, I was quickly snapping pictures of Dylan and Brooke as they looked out at the ocean. All the while waiting for the signal from the future groom that meant it was go time!
After a while, Dylan got down on one knee, popped the question, and Brooke was in so much shock she immediately joined him!
It was such an adorable moment and truly amazing to watch the pure love between these two. I felt so honored to be a part of such a special day. We were able to fit it in right before Brooke was heading back home to where they live together. She was just in San Diego visiting Dylan during his work trip, which made the whole thing even more romantic. Sunset Cliffs really is the most perfect spot for any engagement, and you’ll often see couples with a photographer here.
I wish you two all of the happiness in the world, and I’m sure you’re going to be the most beautiful couple on your wedding day. Thank you again for such a fun adventure (and for giving me an excuse to visit the beautiful cliffs at night)! I can only hope to capture another surprise engagement one day soon.
