It is my hope that my writings can bring some inspiration and positivity into the worlds of those who read them. And, that my photographs can remind those of you who have forgotten – that life is magical. At times, it simply takes a different perspective in order to see what is always there.
HI THERE, I'M KATIE
I am lucky enough to call myself the wife of an amazing man that will forever be my rock. Together, we have two magical children that I still cannot believe are my own creation. When we aren’t home cuddling and watching movies together, we are adventuring the world around us.
I grew up in a tiny farm town in Massachusetts and moved to California when I was sixteen. While growing my photography business, I studied Psychology for many years and love incorporating this knowledge into my reiki and spiritual practice.
I fell in love with photography shortly after delivering my son, Caswell – my muse. I received my first camera as a gift, and dove right in, reading blogs and learning whatever methods I could to achieve the beautiful images I had marveled over.
Aside from photography, I am a total metaphysical book nerd (I even take notes in the margins). Creation and the Universe fascinate me, and I have worked extremely hard to quiet my own mind, and allow my intuition to speak loudly after years of anxiety. At home, I can be found practicing yoga or reiki, meditating, sketching or painting.
I AM A MOMMY, A TRANSFORMATIONAL MENTOR AND HEALER, AND A LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHER BASED IN SAN DIEGO

MY FOCUS ON CHILDREN
We will all become old, our children will grow up, and our houses will be empty. We will look back on the days we sat on the floor playing with animals or cars, or the times our patience was tested when milk covered the table. We’ll laugh, at how small it all seems now, although at present moment it was all so big.
As a mother, I cherish having these images to look at. To remember how big my son’s smile is, even on our toughest days, and to see the love, laughter, and appreciation for life that is ever so present in my household.
On those days where we are overcome with worry, or guilt, or every other emotion that has us down on ourselves, I want these images to be a reminder. A reminder that you, are doing the best you can. That your story is unique, yet it is normal. It is not always pretty, yet it is so, so beautiful.
